Normally selling for 250,000 ruppes, the Yadea YS 500 electric mountain bike is now only 180,000 ruppes. This electric mountain bike is on sale for the duration of the NADA EV Expo, hosted by the NADA Automobiles Association in the nation’s capital beginning on Thursday.

This electric bicycle, offered for sale by Kuzu Nepal Pvt Ltd, is advertised as having a range of 80-100 kilometers on a single charge. The complete charge time for the bike is 6.5 hours. There is a 36-volt, 13-amp-hour, 468-watt-hour battery in this electric mountain bike, allowing for a maximum power output of 500 watts. The actual price of this mountain bike is Rs 250,000.

A Yadea SS 800 model mountain bike is also among the inventory the company has maintained in the kiosk. This bike, which has a claimed range of 110–120 kilometers per charge, reportedly requires 4.5 hours to reach full capacity. The 540 watt hours of power come from the bike’s 36 volt, 15 amp-hour battery.

The SS 800 model weighs 26 kilograms and has a maximum power output of 600 watts.

The company has alos put on display other models which includes Yadea IT 500 and Yadea SS 1000 electric mountain bikes at the booth.

All models, says the manufacturer, are equipped with a stopwatch, a remote upgrade function, a waterproof harness, and three distinct sensors. The company claims that the electric bike’s battery and engine are covered by a two-year warranty.

Thursday marked the beginning of four days of the Electric Vehicle Expo. The Nepal Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) has said that this is the first event of its kind to be held in Nepal with the express purpose of showcasing electric automobiles. Attractive electric two-wheelers, three-wheelers, and four-wheelers may be seen at numerous booths at the event.
